How to Order

This handsome Garvey double well teak kitchen sink shown here is available in the standard size outside dimensions of 31.5" x 19.75" x 7.75". Inside dimensions for each well side are 17" x 14" and the wood thickness is 1.25". A deeper version of this sink - based on the traditional Belfast pattern - is also available (10" height O.D. and 8.5" I.D. depth) for an additional £150.

The internal corners of the sinks are rounded to a radius of 3/4" to facilitate cleaning. Each sink comes complete with steel brackets for attaching to the underside of a counter. Alternatively, the sinks can easily be installed with exposed front "farmhouse" style or can even be wall hung.
Sinks come with a basket brushed stainless steel strainer drain (see additional photo #2). These sinks can accomodate a garbage disposal - we will need to specifiy hole size and flange width and thickness to ensure an accurate fit. See additional photo #7 for specs.

Why Teak? Teak is perfect for the precision work of making baths and sinks because of its unique combination of great durability and stability. In wet environment where the timber must behave predictably, teak is the king.
Teak grows in the mixed deciduous forests of South Asia and is not a tropical rain forest tree. It is also found in plantations across the world. All William Garvey sinks and baths use teak from Myanmar that is harvested in an environmentally sustainable way.

Our teak sinks and baths are treated with Timbertect Plus. This is an epoxy resin sealant which sinks into the wood and fuses with it, forming an exceptionally tough layer that will not absorb stains. These sinks are easy to clean with standard non-abrasive bathroom and kitchen cleaners. Products containing bleach should be avoided as they may lighten the wood unevenly. Further information on care and maintenance is provided with the product.
