How to Order
This solid bronze round basin (hammered interior with hot oil patina, earthtone exterior) has a look and feel as old as time itself. This bronze sculpture weighs approximately 80 lbs.
There are three types of interior finishes available with these sinks:
Highly Polished: A highly polished interior has a mirror bright finish, when placed under warm lighting it will light up like the morning sun. This type of “living finish” may change slightly over time with exposure to the air and moisture around it. Metal polish can be used to keep the bright surface looking like new and wax can be used to reduce maintenance (see below).
Hammered Bright: This finish adds a textured look and feel. A bright hammered interior will conceal dents and scratches that might occur with regular use. This is also a living finish and can be maintained with polish and wax or left to patina naturally over time.
Hammered/Textured with Hot Oil Patina: A hot oil patina with a hammered texture gives the surface a dark aged look. At first glance the surface may appear dark brown, but under direct lighting you will see subtle colors naturally blended together. The oiled patina finish is still a “living finish” but the changes will not be as great over time. Wax can be used to greatly reduce any changes.
This evolving phenomenon in these finishes truly makes any piece a one of a kind work of art. To preserve the finish, we recommend Renaissance Wax.
